For how long can I rent out my property?
In the Netherlands, a minimum rental period of 12 months applies, with an indefinite tenancy agreement. However, there is an exception: if you move abroad and your Dutch property is your only address, you can use a contract with a diplomatic clause. This means you can terminate the tenancy with 3 months’ notice. This arrangement only applies if you are leaving your Dutch property and do not own any other property in the Netherlands.
